3. Eat More, Not Less When you exercise, your body's nutritional needs will increase. Don't make the classic mistake of starting a new diet at the same time you start a new exercise program. You will quickly fail, and stop exercising. Never diet. Some things you eat are good for you. Some are not so good. As your body's metabolism increases, it will be able to burn up the bad stuff. So don't worry about it. Make sure you are getting enough nutrition to support your new leaner, muscular body. Don't skimp. If you are not sure, err on the side of consistently over eating instead of under eating. Don't deny yourself. When you are physically fit, you naturally crave good stuff anyway. It's only when we fall into the downward spiral of being out of shape that we form bad eating habits to make ourselves feel better temporarily. |
